Society of St Vincent dePaul provides several Children and Youth Services across the country in Dublin, Laois, Waterford and Cork.
Our volunteer conferences oversee and, in some cases, deliver the support and programmes provided by the services.
Children and Youth Services include a variety of services working with children including childcare centres, with pre-school and after school classes, youth clubs, homework clubs and a holiday camp. Working with hundreds of children every year, they each have a rich history of support, learning and development, compassion, care and the encouragement they provide for children each day.
Childcare centres aim is to provide good quality, affordable childcare to the local community, to support parents and to encourage all children to feel happy, independent, secure, healthy and to feel that they belong.
Youth Clubs offer opportunities and activities such as singing, drama, dance, cookery, sports, arts & crafts, photography, digital media etc. We aim to provide a safe space for young people to grow, develop and explore but also to belong in an ever changing and challenging world for our youth.
Knockadoon Holiday Camp provides a residential holiday in July each year for 80 children aged between 7 and 12.
