Killorglin Community Care Centre
About Us

The main function of the day centre is to provide respite day care for older people and support for their families. It is also a wonderful social outlet for people in the community affording them the opportunity to stay connected through active conversation, being listened to and knowing they are an integral part of a caring and supportive community thus preventing loneliness and social isolation.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of care in the day centre is to create a relaxed and homely environment to provide a home away from home for all that attend.

From the moment they arrive until they leave in the evening clients are pampered by all staff members. Our main priority will always be the wellbeing of our clients while promoting independence, happiness and lots of fun and laughter through active social engagement.

Your experience

On arrival clients are treated to tea/ coffee and freshly baked scones, four course lunch tea/coffee in the evening with home baking before going home. All prepared by our chef and her kitchen staff. We also provide meals on wheels  to our clients and the people in the surrounding area. This is a vital part of the service supporting people at home and ensuring they receive a hot and nutritious meal Monday to Friday inclusive.
