Supporting volunteer and staff training is key to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. It also helps SVP deliver quality services to those in need.
After recruiting a new volunteer or employee, we implement mandatory safeguarding training tailored to their role.
This training covers several important areas. It includes awareness of attitudes toward abuse, safeguarding legislation, and best practice guidance. It also defines abuse, explains how to report a concern within SVP, and outlines the role of the Designated Liaison Person. Additionally, the training provides information about SVP’s code of conduct and safeguarding policies and procedures.
