Tony Rock

National Children and Family Services Manager

With a background in education and project management in the private sector, Tony began working for SVP as Education Coordinator in St Maelruan’s Conference in West Dublin in 2001, working directly with and supporting the Traveller Community. He then moved into the newly refurbished Ozanam House Resource Centre in Dublin’s north inner city in 2002 as the new Centre Manager. For the next 18 years, Tony oversaw the centre’s development to the point that they now engage over 500 service users every week ranging in age from 3 years in the childcare centre to 93 years in our senior day services for the elderly. They also provide an extensive youth service as well as a suite of community adult education classes. The centre has developed into SVP’s largest single child and family service in Ireland.

Having commenced in his new role as National Children and Family Services Manager in September 2020, Tony is now greatly looking forward to bringing together, guiding and supporting our incredible national network of child and family services. He hopes to contribute to the ongoing development of our national structure where members and staff feel that they are part of a large, supportive and cohesive organisation, where we can share our wisdom and experience to enhance the strategic development of our services and to provide the safest and the best quality care possible to the members of our communities who need us most.
