My Personal Message

Our Christmas Appeal provides 100% of our annual income to the Visitation Conference and this money is fully spent each year to meet the requests made by local people to the Conference throughout the following year. Additionally, as expected, the Conference is particularly busy at Christmas time when people feel the extra burden of costs and we give additional support in terms of vouchers and support through the Toy Appeal. The more support we receive in the annual appeal the more support we can give in the following year.

Ballinrobe Christmas Appeal

Date: 25 December 2021

The Ballinrobe conference serves the areas of Ballinrobe, Cong, Cross, The Neale, Glencorrib, Clonbur, Kilmaine, Partry, Tourmakeady. We are both a visitation conference and a housing conference. In the visitation Conference we meet with people, who seek our assistance, in their homes and our primary focus is to help them deal with unforeseen financial problems and to help them get over a difficult period. This support can include providing food hampers, fuel, vouchers for supermarkets, assistance towards utility costs and support towards health costs and education costs. We do not give cash and all cheques are payable to the service provider e.g. the electricity supplier. The Housing side of the Conference provides social housing. The Conference has 18 housing units, with 6 new units occupied in 2021. This side of the Conference is self-financing and rents cover all maintenance, insurance and development costs.
