Warehouse Operative (12 - months, 37.5 hours per week)

Salary range: €28,860 per annum

SVP employs people to support volunteers in a variety of settings including housing, community care, shops, administration, and other specialist areas. 

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our Retail team in Broombridge, Co. Dublin. The post holder will have responsibility for working under the direction of the Order Fulfilment Centre (OFC) Manager and or the Team Leader in the East Region.

You will be required to assist on an on-going basis in receiving, sorting, grading, categorising, storing and re-distributing donated and new goods as directed. Donated goods will be collected from and prepared for use by the Vincent’s charity shops and will include clothing, shoes, fashion accessories, household items, textiles, books, toys and collectibles. The candidate is to be expected to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and comply fully with SVP policy and procedures.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the job holder may be required to perform other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary by SVP.

Candidate Requirements:

EXPERIENCE
• Experience of working in a similar fast paced and physically demanding warehouse environment would be an advantage.
• Experience of working in the charity sector would be an advantage.

SKILLS
• Self-motivated, Enthusiastic, flexible and energetic person.
• The ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
• Ability to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.
• Ability to comply fully with SVP policy and procedures
• Understanding of best practice in the area of Manual Handling.
• Knowledge of high street fashions.
• Understanding of good health and safety practices
• Be physically fit
