Description:

The Role: Resource Centre Manager - Croi Na Gaillimhe - 37.5 hours

We are currently looking to recruit a Resource Centre Manager to lead our lovely team in Croi Na Gaillimhe.  The centre provides a range of social and learning supports to the Galway area. 

The manager will work closely with St James Conference to plan, develop, coordinate and implement the project work plan for the centre, which is in line with the needs and aims of Croi na Gaillimhe and the Society of St Vincent De Paul.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A third level qualification in a relevant discipline is required for this role (e.g. Social Studies/Care, Community Studies, Community Education or related field) at Level 8 NQF or Higher.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a leadership/management role in an educational/training/Community setting is essential. 
  • Experience in leading a team or supervising staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent team leading skills.
  • Ability to oversee and support the work of volunteers.
  • A team worker with an ability to prioritise tasks and to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of record keeping and databases.
  • Have excellent communication, facilitation and relationship building skills
  • Delivery focused, with an expertise in people management.
  • Excellent numerical skills and a working knowledge of budgeting management techniques.
  • Working knowledge and training in Safeguarding requirements and a Child centred approach.
